There are so many vape juice choices available nowadays and it can be confusing to know which one is the right choice for you.
Flavours
We’ll start with flavours. This is an entirely personal choice. We stock a range of fascinating flavours and we’re sure there’ll be one for you. They come in the following main groups:
- Tobacco

- Menthol
- Fruity
What Nicotine Strength Should I Choose?
18mg – Strong
If you’re smoking 20 cigarettes a day, a good place to start is 18mg strength. This is similar to Marlboro Red or Superking Blue. If you find 18mg is too strong, simply change to 12mg.
12mg – Light to Medium
If you smoke less or prefer mild cigarettes like Silk Cut or Marlboro Lights, 12mg should suit you. However, if this doesn’t satisfy your cravings, change to 18mg
6mg – Light
This strength is for vapers looking to lower their nicotine intake.
3mg – Extra Light
For vapers cutting down on their nicotine intake.
0mg – No Nicotine
For vapers wanting to completely cut-out nicotine.
How Do You Want to Vape?
This is a bit of a weird question to those new to vaping, but there are two types of vaping:
- Mouth-to-Lung Vaping
- Sub Vaping
Mouth-to-Lung Vaping
Mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping refers to inhaling vapour into your mouth and letting it linger there for a while before inhaling it into your lungs using Mouth-to-Lung liquids.
Mouth-to-lung vaping is recommended for beginners who have just started exploring the world of vaping.
When you MTL inhale, you take the vapour into your mouth. You then hold it in your mouth before inhaling it into your lungs.
The Mouth-to-Lung vape is much closer to cigarette smoking.
Benefits
- Similar to smoking and can help you to quit smoking
- Use less vape juice and are more cost-effective
- Brings out the best of the flavour in your e-liquid
- MTL kits are cheaper & simpler to use

Sub Vaping
Sub vaping is a style of vaping that produces large clouds of vapour
Sub ohm vaping produces larger clouds of vapour than regular vaping. This style of vaping requires a different inhalation technique than regular vaping, known as ‘direct to lung’. For this reason, sub ohm vaping and kits designed for this style are sometimes referred to as direct to lung or ‘DTL’ kits.
This style of vaping, otherwise known as ‘sub ohm’, involves inhaling the vapour from the e-cigarette directly into the lungs, just like taking a normal breath. This is favoured by more experienced vapers as the vapour is more dense.
DTL vaping takes a bit of getting used to for new vapers and isn’t how you would inhale smoke from a cigarette.
Benefits
- Produces larger, thicker clouds of vapour than Mouth-to-Lung kits
- Warmer vapour
- Smoother vape
- A higher concentration of flavour
- More nicotine per hit
- Available in a large range of kit options and customisation
Is it Safe?
Sub ohm vaping is kits are regulated to ensure safety for users. Some kits come with batteries that allow you to adjust various settings and others are simple to use and already set up for a great sub ohm experience with just the press of a button.
Provided you follow safety guidelines for e-cigarettes and batteries and buy a kit from a reputable supplier, then sub ohm vaping is just as safe as regular or ‘classic’ vaping.

What Strength is Best for Sub-Vaping?
The increased volume of vapour with sub vaping means you will need to use a lower nicotine strength. The most common nicotine strength for sub ohm vapers is 3mg. If you’re new to vaping, you may want to try 6mg, or use a short fill e liquid where you can add your own nicotine to get the desired strength.
The Science Bit
The main ingredients in e-liquids are Propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG) and flavourings. Some vape juices will also contain nicotine which will be stated on the packaging.
Vape juices with a higher ratio of VG (70VG 30PG) are thicker and your MTL device will struggle to soak up the liquid and heat it quickly enough. This can lead to a burnt tasting vape and shortening the life of your coils.
Sub ohm e-liquids contain a higher ratio of vegetable glycerine (VG); usually 60% and above.
Classic e-liquids will contain a higher percentage of propylene glycol (PG); 50% or above, and are suitable for classic (mouth-to-lung) kits.
You can also purchase vape juices with a balanced 50/50 ratio of PG & VG. These are generally well suited to most kits and tanks so are a great option for most. However, these might not be suitable if your tank is using coils with a very low resistance.
Using high PG juices in a sub ohm tank or kit will generally produce a harsh vapour and burnt flavour and vice versa for high VG juices in a kit designed for classic vaping.
